SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE 2018-2019 ACADEMIC YEAR

The Kentucky Grocers Education Foundation will award up to five $1,000 scholarships.  Application deadline is May 1, 2018.

WHO IS ELIGIBLE FOR KGEF SCHOLARSHIPS?
High school seniors or college freshmen, sophomores, and juniors enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university in the United States for the academic year and are:

1.    Children or grandchildren of full-time employees of member companies of the Kentucky Grocers & Convenience Store Association (KGCSA). The employees must have been employed for at least one year as of January 1 of the year in which the scholarships are awarded; or
2.    Employees of KGCSA member companies who are enrolled full-time in a college or university in the United States. The employees must have been employed for at least one year as of January 1 of the year in which the scholarships are awarded.

Application deadline is May 1, 2018.
Scholarships must be sumbitted online only.

"Piggyback" Scholarships

The Kentucky Grocers Education Foundation offers additional scholarships for the children or grandchildren of full-time employees or employees who are full-time students of companies listed below through the KGEF “Piggyback” Scholarship Program.

The following piggyback scholarships are available for qualified applicants:
Houchens Industries (5) $1,000 Scholarships
SuperQuik (4) $1,000 Scholarships
ValuMarket (2) $1,000 Scholarships
Cox Food Group (4) $1,000 Scholarships
Food City (2) $1,000 Scholarships
Childers Oil Company / Double Kwik (1) $1,000 Scholarship

To apply for a piggyback scholarship, please select the company in a drop-down menu within the application linked below. Piggyback scholarship applicants may compete for other KGEF scholarships by completing the one application.
